| Crossing into Alabama...never been here before!! |
Hello to beautiful Alabama...we arrived the day after Thanksgiving so that we could visit a friend of John's from high school (all the rest of us had never met them), who now lives in a suburb of Tuscaloosa and is the pastor of a church there. The Jameson family, Ben (the high school buddy), Shellee, Tyler and Callie, all welcomed us with open arms and we had a wonderful weekend!! We got to see how big-time SEC football works...Saturday was the "Iron Bowl" between Alabama Crimson Tide and Auburn. All I can say is WOW...who knew that there could be that many people that would go support a football team...100,000 plus people in attendance!! We visited the Alabama campus, went out to eat at some famous restaurants, did a bit of shopping and enjoyed worshiping at their church on Sunday...we had an absolutely fantastic time!! Our deepest gratitude to the Jameson family for showing us Alabama. We are so thankful to have reconnected and met all of you and look forward to many more years of keeping in touch! We pray that our Lord will richly bless you in all that you do and we expect you to come visit us when we finally get back home :-)
