North Carolina Arboretum

The quilt garden...with dad and Lila in the distance

There is more to do in Asheville than just the Biltmore and we found one of those treasures Monday afternoon...the NC Arboretum. I'm sure it would have been even more spectacular in the spring and summer, but it was still a wonderful place to spend our afternoon.

 

Fantastically fun foliage, don't you think?

 

They had a MOST EXCELLENT bonsai garden!! All of these trees were no taller than two feet, but they looked like the full grown 20-foot version.. This was our favorite part of the arboretum!!

 

 

 

It's one was Lila's favorite...it looked perfect for a "fairy forest"!!
