Atlanta, Georgia

Downtown Atlanta...CNN Center and Olympic Park.
We arrived in Atlanta yesterday afternoon, as we are making our way to Charleston, South Carolina. We decided to stay in Atlanta to see an NFL game, visit family and hopefully attend Passion Church with pastor Louie Giglio on Sunday. We are looking forward to spending some time tomorrow with Brian (John's cousin) and his family tomorrow afternoon. It's hard to believe that tomorrow is December 1st...the start of our seventh month on the road :-)...what an adventure it has been so far!! Sweet dreams to all of our family and friends...WE ARE MISSING EVERY ONE OF YOU!!

Statue in Olympic Park.

Also in downtown Atlanta is the Coca-Cola museum. It was closed when we were there Thursday night, but hopefully we can see it while we are here.

How cool are these huge Coca-Cola ornaments

Georgia Dome

Went to the Falcons vs. Saints game...total fun!!

We had to get our faces painted!!

Big game...lots of crazy fans, including us :-)

Rock City of Chatanooga

Lovely paths wandering through huge trees and massive boulders.
Our last excursion in the Chatanooga area was to Rock City...this is a garden built in, around and throughout a huge boulder field. Mr. and Mrs. Carter, several decades ago had a wonderful vision how to use this parcel of land and now, we get to enjoy it!! If you can only do one thing in Chatanooga....YOU MUST DO THIS!! Sorry there are so many pictures, but everything was just so beautiful.

This gives a good perspective shot of how HUGE these rocks are!!

Another cool perspective picture!

A beautiful man-made fountain.

This rock formation is called "Mushroom Rock"

"Swing-along-bridge" to cross over to the lookout area.
Lovely stone bridge!!

Eagle sculpture at the entrance of the lookout area.

Lookout Point!!

From the top of lookout pointe you can see seven states...TN, NC, SC, VA, AL, KY And GA

Love this one..."Melting Snowman"

Rock City is even a refuge for fallow and white deer.

Waterfall off of "Lover's Leap"

"Balance Rock"

Pretty old water wheel.
Our sweet babies!!

Ruby Falls of Chattanooga

One of the fun things to do in Chatanooga is Ruby Falls which is an underground waterfall in a cavern. The tour took us down into a mountain over 1,000 feet and we got to see this beautiful, 145 feet high waterfall plus some neat cavern formations. If you are in the Chatanooga area, this is a must see :-)

Cavern formation named Elephant's Foot

"Mirror Pond" inside the cavern

Cute formation named "Steak and Potatoes"

Here is the amazing waterfall under ground. They have it lit up with different colored lights.

Chatanooga...Several Days of Fun!!

What treasured times we had visiting with the sweet Jones family!! Travis, Charity, Zethan and Eliana have been in Chatanooga for about seven years and they are doing really well!! Man, it was sooooo good to see them...we just talked and talked and talked. Zethan is almost 5 and Eliana is 2 1/2 and both of them are just too cute!! Travis and Charity are doing great as well and really enjoying Chatanooga. He is still a pastor at Silverdale Baptist Church and Charity is a homeschooling, stay at home mom who ministers through a ladies Bible study and a mentorship to a Muslim lady with children that are the same ages. We got together for three evenings and enjoyed such sweet fellowship!! Our last night we all went out to dinner at a fun hamburger joint in downtown Chattanooga. Hopefully they will come visit NM when we return because we sure do miss them already :-)

Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Crossing into Alabama...never been here before!!
Hello to beautiful Alabama...we arrived the day after Thanksgiving so that we could visit a friend of John's from high school (all the rest of us had never met them), who now lives in a suburb of Tuscaloosa and is the pastor of a church there. The Jameson family, Ben (the high school buddy), Shellee, Tyler and Callie, all welcomed us with open arms and we had a wonderful weekend!! We got to see how big-time SEC football works...Saturday was the "Iron Bowl" between Alabama Crimson Tide and Auburn. All I can say is WOW...who knew that there could be that many people that would go support a football team...100,000 plus people in attendance!! We visited the Alabama campus, went out to eat at some famous restaurants, did a bit of shopping and enjoyed worshiping at their church on Sunday...we had an absolutely fantastic time!! Our deepest gratitude to the Jameson family for showing us Alabama. We are so thankful to have reconnected and met all of you and look forward to many more years of keeping in touch! We pray that our Lord will richly bless you in all that you do and we expect you to come visit us when we finally get back home :-)

John, me, Shellee and Ben Jameson...sweet old/new friends!!

Our kids and their kids became fast friends!!

The End of Elvis and Celebrating 20 Years!!

So we finished our Graceland tour with the car museum of all of the different cars that Elvis had owned throughout his life, some his and some for his family members.

Priscilla's car...a Mercedes.

Elvis's Harley Davidson.

This one was really cool looking! Can't remember what kind it was?!?

He even owned a John Deere tractor!!

The pink Cadillac that he bought for his mother!

This purple convertible was a beauty!! Can't remember what it was either...sorry!! But it sure was pretty!!

And we ended our most enjoyable, 20th anniversary with dinner and a movie just for two!! The kids stayed back at the camper and ate rotisserie chicken with Miss Madeline in charge, while John and I went to the best restaurant in Memphis, Restaurant Iris. All I can say is that this is TRUELY "the best food I have EVER put into my mouth"!! And that REALLY says a lot, because those who really know me, know that I LOVE both cooking and eating good food!! Well, the chef of this restaurant was GIFTED and a true ARTIST!! John and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening celebrating our first 20 years together. Blessings to you all as we celebrate Thanksgiving today away from our family and friends...we miss each and every one of you very much!!

Our desserts...mine even said "Happy Anniversary"...soooo sweet!!
