Rock City of Chatanooga

Lovely paths wandering through huge trees and massive boulders.
Our last excursion in the Chatanooga area was to Rock City...this is a garden built in, around and throughout a huge boulder field. Mr. and Mrs. Carter, several decades ago had a wonderful vision how to use this parcel of land and now, we get to enjoy it!! If you can only do one thing in Chatanooga....YOU MUST DO THIS!! Sorry there are so many pictures, but everything was just so beautiful.

This gives a good perspective shot of how HUGE these rocks are!!

Another cool perspective picture!

A beautiful man-made fountain.

This rock formation is called "Mushroom Rock"

"Swing-along-bridge" to cross over to the lookout area.
Lovely stone bridge!!

Eagle sculpture at the entrance of the lookout area.

Lookout Point!!

From the top of lookout pointe you can see seven states...TN, NC, SC, VA, AL, KY And GA

Love this one..."Melting Snowman"

Rock City is even a refuge for fallow and white deer.
