The Smoky Mountains of Tennessee

Yesterday after church, we took a drive through the Smoky Mountain National Park and today, we went horseback riding through the Smokies. What a beautiful national park this is!! Now I understand why so many songs have been written about this magnificent area in our nation...it is definitely song worthy!! Hope you enjoy a few pictures from here!!

We even hiked a tiny portion of the Appalachian trail!! This was our first sighting of snow on our trip.

 

We climbed to the top on Clingman's Dome...the highest point of elevation on the Appalachian trail!!

Here we are at the top!! On a clear day, you can see all the way to North Carolina!

A beautiful waterfall in the lower elevations of the Smokies!

 

Getting ready to go horseback riding...a first for Lila!! She was soooooo excited and she totally loved it!!
