Quilts, Country Cooking' and BFF's

So we have spent the last couple of days in Amish country enjoying delicious food, beautiful country and even BFF's from Albuquerque. Yesterday we picked up Madeline's best friend Kayla who flew into Philadelphia and will be staying with us for about ten days. Needless to say, Madeline is VERY happy to have Kayla with us!! We are sooooo thankful for her parents allowing and making this all happen!! We have seen covered bridges, many Amish homesteads on beautiful farmland and done lots of looking at quilts, jams, wood creations and homey decorations in the many quaint towns of Lancaster County. I do so enjoy this part of our nation and could come here time and time again and never tire of it :-)). We even are getting to have dinner on an Amish family's (Smucker family, no less!) cornfield tonight, complete with bar-b-que chicken, Lima beans, corn on cob, sweet potatoes, desserts and even a sing-a-long...I'm really looking forward to that!! I have several more pictures to post, so I'll do that after we return. Blessings, Lioness

If you look closely, you can see their clothes on a line...
