Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania

Here is a true nugget in this beautiful country of ours...about 20ish miles outside of Wellsboro is this magnificent gorge. It was so breath taking even in the summer, but it will be even more spectacular in the fall. We may adjust our trip in October a bit so that we can come right back here to enjoy the fall colors of Pennsylvania. John and I even accomplished the "Turkey Path" hike...from the top of the rim down to the bottom...serious workout for sure!! The kids stayed home, trying to rest and ward off the tenacious cough that has invaded our children :-((. Needless to say....we have fallen in love with Pennsylvania! So you are now caught up with what we have been doing I the last week or so... We are now in Lancaster, PA to spend a few days in Amish country then a day in Philadelphia and then to Gettysburg and then into Washington, DC. On Wednesday (in two days) we get to pick up Madeline's best friend Kayla whom we will get to love on for then next ten days and we are all so very excited!! Hopefully many more pictures should follow, assuming we can access free wii-fi!!
