The Perfect Picnic Spot

When the kids were little we had a book that they all loved to read called "The Perfect Picnic Spot". In this book, Winnie the Pooh searches lots of different areas to find his "perfect picnic spot". Well...we found it!! It is in the Custer State Park of South Dakota at Sylvan Lake. On Saturday, we donned our swimming attire, loaded up folding chairs and inner tubes, packed a delicious picnic and headed to Sylvan Lake. How did we learn of Sylvan Lake, you ask?? Very good question indeed...our "tiny" pastor, of a tiny church, in tiny Tijeras told us of this "tiny" nugget of gold, nestled back in "them thar Black Hills o' South Dakotie". So, being the "obedient" parishioners that we are...we went to check it out. It truely was "the perfect picnic spot"!! Thanks for the great tip Pastor Tom!! Hugs to all of our FMBC family and we miss you bunches, Lioness

  1. I think is the first site thought to house Mt. Rushmore. What a fun day!
