Acadia National Park

Even though the colors are not in "full bloom" yet...the views are still majestic!!
Even though it was raining AGAIN this morning...we had to get out to see Acadia National Park because our time in Maine is closing fast and what a feast for the eyes it was!! Perhaps it was just the grandure of the fall colors on display, but this could be my favorite National Park of them all?!? Wow...what a glorious place!! We enjoyed it so much in the rain, that we are going back tomorrow to see it in the sunshine!! I know my pictures won't do this wonderful place justice, but I hope you will be able to glimpse a touch of the Lord's masterful artistry!! If you have never been able to see Acadia National Park in all of it's fall glory, then you must put it on your "bucket list". I promise you won't be disappointed! Blessings and sweet dreams from the Lioness

Not sure what tree this is, but it was lovely!
LOVE this tree in all it's glory!!

It was always fun to see what was just around the bend in the road!!

Jordan's Pond...absolutely picturesque!!

On top of Cadillac Mountain...hopefully we will be able to see a bit better tomorrow. Supposedly you can see several of the New England states from the top of Cadillac Mtn.

  1. Hi Holly, My name is Stacey and my family is spending the next year on the road. We've been at it for just under two months now. We're from Oregon, but so far we've made it to New York and we are just following in your footsteps heading tomorrow to Vermont and then Maine and then down to Boston. We were wondering if you are camping and if so, if you had any recommendations on where to stay...particularly around Boston. I loved your pics and really look forward to getting to experience some of that ourselves. We are traveling with an SUV towing a trailer so we are pretty long and we have four children as well. Where does your family head next? Thanks in advance for must see items that you might pass along.
    Thank you. God Bless! Stacey

    1. Good morning Stacey and so nice to "meet" you!! Yes, we are traveling in our truck and RV (it is a long one as well) and yes, I have a recommendation for Boston. We chose not to stay in Boston itself...too crowded and hard to navigate w/our rig, so we stayed about 20 min outside of Boston in Wompatuck State Park. It was a wonderful park and had plenty of room for RVs!! We also highly recommend Scusset Beach State Park near Cape Cod if you are headed in that direction any time soon. As far as us...we are headed out today to New Hampshire, then into Vermont and to Pennsylvania for the middle of Oct. Hope this helps and good luck on your travels!! We will be praying for safety for you all as you travel along and perhaps we might have the pleasure of meeting in person! Blessings, Holly

  2. Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. I'll continue to watch your blog. It's fun to see other families doing the same thing we feel led to do. We checked into Hadley's Point Campground today and are so looking forward to exploring Acadia over the next couple of days. It IS so beautiful. If you'd like to look at our site, it is at www.mcfarlanes.org.
Thanks again. Blessings on your travels. - Stacey
